AHP Solutions

About Us

AHP is an independent consulting and analytics firm with more than three decades of experience in the development, evaluation and implementation of complex infrastructure, energy, and industrial transformation projects.

Our core expertise lies in the integrated economic, technical and environmental assessment of projects and value chains. We support public- and private-sector clients in strategic decision-making, investment planning, and project execution, with a strong focus on sustainability, resilience and long-term economic viability.

AHP combines traditional management and infrastructure consulting with advanced analytical methods, including techno-economic analysis (TEA), life-cycle assessment (LCA), landscape analysis (LSA), SWOT and scoring methods, as well as dynamic risk and scenario analysis.

Our services cover the entire project life cycle, from early-stage potential and market analyses, site development and feasibility studies to financing concepts, permitting support, implementation strategies and operational optimization.

We bring extensive experience across sectors including renewable energy (solar PV, battery storage, hydrogen, bioenergy), circular economy, logistics and mobility, industrial site development, and regional economic development.

Our interdisciplinary team combines expertise in engineering, economics, environmental sciences and spatial planning. We work closely with clients, public authorities, research institutions, and industry partners in both national and international contexts.

AHP stands for analytical depth, methodological rigor and pragmatic, implementable solutions. Our goal is to provide robust decision support and create sustainable value for our clients in an increasingly dynamic economic and regulatory environment.

AHP-History

2006

AHP was founded in Berlin in 2006 as a mid-sized consulting firm by its founders Dr. Uwe Arnold, Stefan Peikert and Dr. Michael Hahn. From the outset, the company brought together complementary areas of expertise: Dr. Arnold and Dr. Hahn contributed their backgrounds in infrastructure development, environmental engineering, circular economy and public–private partnerships (PPP), while Stefan Peikert added extensive experience in foreign trade consulting, international marketing and management consulting.

    2008

In 2008, AHP Süd GmbH & Co. KG was established in Heidelberg under the leadership of Dr. Linda von Delhaes-Guenther, expanding AHP’s presence into southern Germany.

Between 2009 and 2015, AHP maintained a project office at Leipzig/Halle Airport in Leipzig, supporting the development and management of the Central German Logistics Cluster (now known as Netzwerk Logistik Mitteldeutschland), with a team of up to five staff at its peak.

      2012

In 2012, the company underwent a corporate restructuring. Activities were divided into AHP GmbH & Co. KG (hereinafter AHP), focused on infrastructure, environmental, public sector, and corporate consulting under the leadership of Prof. Dr. Arnold, and AHP International GmbH & Co. KG, specializing in foreign trade consulting and international marketing, managed by Stefan Peikert and Dr. von Delhaes-Guenther. Around the same time, AHP began developing its proprietary TEA/LCA methodology and established the “Renewable Energy Site Development” business unit.

        2016-2019

Since 2016, AHP has also been active in the sustainable raw materials, industrial materials, and construction materials sector, with projects spanning carbon fiber from algae, carbon fiber-stone composite materials (CFS), biochar, and yeast oil from biogenic residues.

Die vollständige Trennung von AHP und AHP International fand 2019 statt. Prof. Arnold ist seither alleiniger Gesellschafter von AHP.

          since 2022

Since 2022, AHP has been a co-founder and minority shareholder in two start-ups: GST GmbH (Dachau/Garching), a biotech spin-off from the Technical University of Munich specializing in yeast fermentation; and CCT GmbH (Berlin), focusing on algae-based carbon fiber and CFS applications.
